Company Secretary – New Hedge Fund – Jersey

Ready to use the skills you’ve gained in Company Secretarial / Administration work to be the first in-house Company Secretary at a Hedge Fund on island?

Want to work in a fast paced environment which rewards ingenuity, problem solving and a proactive approach?

Time to leave Time Sheets behind you and knit together the global cosec requirements of a growing Hedge Fund?

Then read on!

OFC Partners are representing a global Hedge Fund that moved operations to Jersey in recent years. They have an exceptional track record of growth since they were founded and their Jersey office is growing regularly.

They are looking for a highly organised professional to take responsibility for the Company Secretarial tasks, they have international offices and utilise the services of Third Party Services providers in each of those jurisdictions at present. This role would work closely with the General Counsel and other members of the Senior Management team to head of their Cosec function, coordinate global service providers and ensure the smooth running of their governance and committee structures.

Your role (initially) will include but will not be limited to:

  • Maintain statutory registers and minutes books
  • Prepare and circulate board and committee packs
  • Ensure all corporate returns are filed accurately and promptly
  • Arrange key company meetings and take accurate minutes
  • Create and maintain a calendar of all Company filings for all entities within the group

My client is open to various levels of experience for this role, it could be someone who’s sat as a senior Company Secretary / Associate Director, or it could be someone who’s earlier in their career looking for their first opportunity to step in house… really it’s about attitude, ambition, organisational skills and coordination. It’s likely that the successful candidate will have a Chartered Secretarial qualification but not essential.
